Students may choose to participate an internship, teaching experience, or volunteer opportunity while studying at Hampshire. These experiences can be incorporated into a Field Study or serve as a complementary learning activity in January or summer. They may also be used to satisfy the Community Engaged Learning requirement (CEL-2) or Multiple Cultural Perspectives requirement during Division II, or included as an Advanced Educational Activity during Division III.
Students are encouraged to consult with their academic advisor or faculty committee early on to explore how to best incorporate an off-campus experience into their academic program.

Foundation for Sustainable Development FSD provides college students, graduates, and professionals with the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience through internship programs eight weeks and longer with organizations in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. German International Parliamentary Internship Program (IPP) The IPP is a fully-funded fellowship that introduces young, politically-minded American college and university graduates to the German system of government. IAESTE The IAESTE Technical Internship Program places university students into paid technical internships in approximately 40 countries. Internships are open to undergraduate and grad students pursuing a degree in science, engineering, mathematics, architecture, computer science, or other technical fields. Non-U.S. citizens are also encouraged to apply. The majority of internships are 8-12 weeks during the summer, but there are also placements available for up to one year.
