Dr. Joseph G. Kickasola is associate professor of film and digital media at Baylor University, and the director of the Baylor Communication in New York program. In addition to his numerous publications in film studies journals and anthologies, including The Quarterly Review of Film and Video and The Routledge Companion to Philosophy and Film, his book The Liminal Image: The Films of Krzysztof Kieslowski won the 2006 Spiritus Award. His other subject areas include cinematic epistemology, multi-sensory experience in film, cognitive and phenomenological film theory, and contemporary film aesthetics. Dr. Kickasola has twice served as visiting professor of theology and film at Princeton Theological Seminary and is a member of the Columbia University Seminar on Film and Interdisciplinary Interpretation. He lives in New York City with his wife and two young children.#
