11:30 a.m. The Joy Experiments
A scientist who might be her subject. A woman who might be a moth. A lover. Meet these characters in The Joy Experiments, a play about loss, love, and transformation. Learn fun facts about Saturniidae moths and mouthlessness, about supposed to's and their aftermath. Attempt to perform what bell hooks terms "the emotional alchemy of grief." This show is based on poems by Katie Frank 08F, adapted into a play by Katie Frank and Esme Rodriquez Vaandrager 06F. Conceived, produced, and performed by Katie Frank. Directed and choreographed by E.R. Vaandrager. Reservations are highly suggested and can be made by sending an email to thejoyexperiments@gmail.com. A $3.00 donation is welcome at the door.

Lunch Break
The dining commons will be open for brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Bridge Café, the bookstore on campus, and Atkins at Rt. 116/Bay Road are also easily accessible options.
1:30 p.m. Tree-planting ceremony: In addition to President Lash planting a tree to mark this special occasion, groups of volunteers will be led by Hampshire staff and faculty to numerous locations on campus to plant additional trees. If you are unable to join us,  plant a tree where you are in celebration of Arbor Day.
Location: Circle at the center of campus
2 p.m. Kite Fly: Occupy the air! Hampshire College's second "annual" kite fly. Fill the air above Hampshire with beautiful kites. BYOK or fly one of ours. Lift off at 2 p.m.! Refreshments!
