The Amherst Bulletin reports on Abraham Ravett's newest documentary, Holding Hands with Ilsa, and the unlikely meeting that changed the film's trajectory.
Over a year ago, film and photography professor Abraham Ravett set out to document his journey back to his roots in Poland for his newest film project, Holding Hands with Ilsa.
Ravett is interviewed by the Amherst Bulletin on how recently finding and interviewing Ilsa, who as a teenager had been a caretaker to Ravett and of whom he had a grainy black-and-white photograph that served as the impetus for the journey, changed the narrative thread of the documentary.
