Alumni Artists Use Found Objects in Library Gallery Exhibit

Kamil Peters 06F is showing work from his series of welded sculptural masks made from discarded propane cylinders, influenced by sources in African sculpture and contemporary concerns around race, identity, and social justice.

Justin Norris 10F is exhibiting dozens of drawings he has made reacting to cardboard beer coasters from around the world.

Both artists use found objects and materials, their works linked to contemporary culture, sustainability, and the history of the found object in art.

A reception with Peters and Norris will be held in the gallery on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, from 6-8 pm.

The gallery is located in the lower level of the Harold F. Johnson Library building.

During the academic year the gallery is open:
Monday-Friday 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Closed Saturday
Sunday 2-5 p.m.
