Hampfest brings together nearly 100 student groups, showcasing the many activities in which students can participate.
At Hampshire, you don’t just design your own course of study. You create your own groups, too. From Design Conspiracy and the ASL Collective to UMOJA and Red Scare Ultimate Frisbee, nearly 100 student groups will take part in Hampfest on Friday, September 18, from 3 to 4:30 pm under the solar canopy in the Charles and Polly Longsworth Arts Village.
Hampfest is held at the beginning of each semester to showcase the many activities in which students can participate. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Snacks and music will be provided.
“We have 10 to 15 new groups joining this year, ranging from the Hampshire School of Sorcery – a Harry Potter group – to the Art Exposure Committee, which will organize museum tours and critique art,” says Campus Leadership and Activities Assistant Director Carolyn Strycharz. “There’s no shortage of variety among our student groups, as always.”
Strycharz has advice for new students experiencing their first Hampfest. “Take your time, walk around, and explore everything, because our student groups are so diverse,” she says. “Sign up for a bunch of things, and be open to different possibilities.”
