DIVISION III PROJECTS

For those of you who won't be able to join us on campus, you can read about some of the 2013 projects online. More »

GROUNDBREAKING FOR ROOS–ROHDE HOUSE

Everyone is invited to a 2:30 p.m. "Rehamping the Barn" student presentation in the Adele Simmons Hall auditorium, then to the 4:30 p.m. groundbreaking at the future site of the Roos-Rohde House, on the lawn between Cole Science Center and the Lemelson Center. A SPACE BY-AND-FOR STUDENTS

So, how do Rehamping the Barn and celebrating Sig Roos connect? Shortly after his arrival at Hampshire, President Jonathan Lash invited students to examine ways they could repurpose and rebuild the barn currently located at the president's house and relocate it to campus. An exciting student design project led to plans for the barn to become a gathering space for studying, meetings, and socializing. It is being named in honor of Roos and Ruth Rohde 75S, to express the Hampshire community's appreciation for their family's longstanding support and involvement. Students have written about the project and how you can support their efforts. More »
