Creative Media Institute

Two of the things we love most about Hampshire alums: their sense of humor and their strong support for “their” college. Both are on full display in this hilarious video with Eugene Mirman 92F and 2014 Peabody Award winner Ken Burns 71F, who volunteered to appear in it to help us get the word out about this summer’s Creative Media Institute (July 13 to August 9, with academic credit or one-week options). The Creative Media Institute is a marvelous opportunity to learn from and alongside some of the most creative visiting artists working in film today, including alums Burns, Brett Morgen 87F, and Erica Huggins 83F. Learn More »

HAMPSHIRE OF COLOR: The Hampshire of Color celebration March 28-30 provided a chance to look back at how the College’s multicultural community has grown and thrived over the years, while also looking ahead to how to strengthen our dedication to a fair education regardless of race, gender, or class. RECENTLY LISTED: Hampshire made Diverse: Issues in Higher Education’s list of the 30 Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs. Princeton Review included Hampshire in the top five on its list of 25 best undergraduate schools to study video game design.

WE RECOMMEND: Did you know that students can check vegetable seeds out of the library, just as they check out books? Hampshire’s seed lending library began with Hannah Haskell 08F’s Div III, and has received significant media attention including this informative article in the Boston Globe. More »
