Hampshire’s 2015 summer programs will include the new Institute for Transforming Social Justice. The Creative Media Institute; Food, Farm, and Sustainability Institute; Institute for Curatorial Practice; and TESOL teacher training course will all be offered again.

Russian literature professor Polina Barskova and physics professor Herbert Bernstein received the 2015 Gruber Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Advising.

Poetry professor Aracelis Girmay won a 2015 Whiting Award. Based on early accomplishment and great promise, ten Whitings are given annually to emerging writers.

A $250,000 grant from the Henry P. Kendall Foundation is supporting Hampshire's effort to eventually provide nearly 100 percent of food on campus from local sources.
