Hampstore

The Hampstore, your on-campus store, is located on the ground floor of the Harold F. Johnson Library. It's your source for all officially licensed College apparel as well as food, drinks, and other supplies for our campus community. Whether you're looking for a quick snack between classes, a Hampshire sweatshirt, or other Hamp gear, we look forward to seeing you.

In August 2017, Hampshire College officially took over management of the Hampstore, which means the College owns and operates the facility. The Hampstore is a gift shop, convenience store, and small grocery all in one. In addition to the store on the ground floor of the library, Hampshire gifts and gear can be found online. Friends and relatives can purchase gifts and gear for their student and choose "in store pickup" and incur no shipping or handling fee.

Payment Methods

The Hampstore accepts cash, credit cards, and the Hampshire OneCard for payment of items in the store. All fully enrolled students whose accounts are up-to-date with the student accounts office may charge purchases using their OneCard; these charges will appear on your billing statement and must be paid within 30 days. Students may also use their Hamp Dollars funds in the store. Employees of the College who utilize their Hampshire OneCard for payments will have the charges withheld via payroll deduction.

Textbooks

The College has partnered with Amherst Books in downtown Amherst for textbook purchases.

New for Fall 2021: Amherst Books is open for browsing; check their website for current hours. Students may use their OneCard to pay for purchases in the store by charging their student account or they can pay with a credit or debit card. Student account charges are posted daily on The Hub.

Not on campus? Amherst Books has curbside pickup available or is able to ship via USPS for a small shipping fee.

Please note: Amherst Books accepts returns of unused, new condition textbooks with a receipt until the College's add/drop deadline each semester.

Faculty may submit textbook requests to Amherst Books using their online form, by email, or by printing out a PDF Requisition Form. Call 413.256.1547 or 800.503.5865 or fax to 413.256.1621. Faculty can find more details on Amherst Books faculty services page.
