The following are on-line trainings offered for by United Educators for Hampshire College employees:

Workplace Harassment Prevention: Learning Program for Higher Education

This ​learning program reflects real-life scenarios to engage faculty and staff. The program includes numerous resources for human resources staff as well as for learners, including tools to address diverse learning styles.

This course will provide an overview of the law on harassment with an explanation of the legal environment surrounding workplace harassment.

Campus Sexual Violence Elimination (SaVE) Act Learning Program

Higher education institutions are expected to make a “good faith effort” to comply with the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (Campus SaVE Act), which became effective in March 2014. Part of the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA), the law comes at a time of multiple high-profile government investigations of campus response to sexual misconduct allegations and a recent White House Task Force report on protecting students from sexual assault. This course will cover the new law and how it affects students including:

  • Recognizing and preventing specific types of sexual violence offenses
  • Warning signs of abuse
  • Bystander intervention
  • What steps victims of sexual violence should take
