Warren Gorlick joined the Board of Trustees in May 2020 as the elected Alumni Trustee.
Warren currently serves as the associate director at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission where he oversees a staff of attorneys focused on regulatory requirements for swaps and other derivatives contracts. Previously, Warren worked in the CFTC’s International Affairs Office, where he represented the agency on a number of international work streams including the Financial Stability Board and the International Organization of Securities Commissions.
Before joining the CFTC, Warren worked in the US Treasury Department in several capacities, including as deputy director of Treasury’s Task Force on International Terrorist Financing, and senior advisor in Treasury’s Office of International Banking and Securities. Earlier in his career, Warren worked as an attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Warren lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two children. Warren serves as the former treasurer and current secretary of his local citizen’s association and represents his ward’s councilmember on the District’s Bicycle Advisory Council.
Warren is a graduate of Hampshire where his concentration was in social thought and political economy, and he subsequently obtained a law degree from Cornell University.
