Amanda is the head women's soccer and assistant women's basketball coach. She has been at Hampshire since 2005 as a coach and an instructor in the Outdoors Program and Recreational Athletics.
Amanda's other responsibilities include assisting in the intramural department, marketing, and game scheduling. She is also a certified rape aggression defense instructor; American Red Cross first aid/cpr and aed instructor; and Spinning instructor.
Prior to working at Hampshire College, Amanda had over four years of experience as the assistant softball coach at Middlebury and Saint Michael's Colleges in Vermont. Her main role was to provide instruction in hitting and outfielding techniques. She attended the University of Vermont and was a four-year starter as a left-fielder and scholarship athlete on the Division I softball team. Amanda holds many hitting records at UVM, and was selected to the America East 1st and 2nd teams. She also received honorable mention on the All New England Team. Amanda is excited by the opportunity to provide a healthy lifestyle for Hampshire College students.
