Drop in any day of the week for a half hour of meditation from 4:30-5:00 p.m. in the library kiva. Led by trained students. All are welcome. Co-sponsored with spiritual life.

Relaxation Club
Well's Relaxation Club promotes and provides various relaxation services, which studies show can facilitate stress reduction, release of muscle tension, and general feelings of well-being and relaxation. A core element of the club is the use of back rubs for relaxation. New members are welcome at any time, and can sign up at during drop-in times at the Wellness Center or at club workshops. During the academic year, trained members of the club will also offer regular Monday-Friday drop-in hours for club members to come in for a free 15-minute back rub.

This student organization is run out of the Wellness Center. It provides the Hampshire College community with free herbs for use as medicine, and teaches folks about the art of medicinal herbs.

The Light Boxes
Well houses 6 light boxes available for use by students who experience mood and energy changes associated with the reduced daylight hours of fall and winter. Recommended use is about 30 minutes per day. The larger light box can be used at Well, and the smaller light boxes can be signed out with a student ID.

We have biofeedback devices that give you audiovisual signals to help regulate breathing and promote relaxation. These can be signed out with a student ID.

Safer Sex Supplies
Well distributes safer sex supplies (condoms, dental dams, gloves, and lube) to the house offices on a monthly basis, or you can stop by the center to pick up your own supplies. We also have lots of information on safer sex, contraceptive options, STIs, and sexual health. Read the results of our Fall 2008 Safer Sex Survey!
