June 4-29, 2018
Are you prepared to open your mind to a new language and culture? Have you seen an interpreter at events, met a deaf person, have a deaf family member, friend, co-worker, or neighbor, and have the desire to be able to communicate? American Sign Language (ASL) is visual and gestural language. You will learn basic vocabulary, grammar, and expressive practice to develop your everyday conversational skills in ASL.
Applicants should take a look at the program's working curriculum: Summer 2018 ASL Curriculum (draft)
Please also note that this program does require a textbook. See the Application and Fees page for more information.
