2018 #BlackLivesMatter Tuition and Fees

Tuition: $2,750
Housing: $850 (includes on-campus condo-style living quarters for duration of the program)

Housing

Because of the intensive nature of the program, all participants are strongly recommended to reside on campus for the duration of the course. Students reside in condo-style living quarters which include a kitchen, living area, single bedrooms, and free access to laundry facilities.

Meal Plan

Participants can choose to enroll in our meal plan, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day for the duration of the program. Participants should indicate that they would like to enroll in the meal plan when completing their applications.

Participants who do not enroll in the meal plan can choose to purchase meals daily in our dining commons and/or choose to prepare their own meals in their condo-style living quarters.

Financial Assistance

There is some financial assistance available for the #BlackLivesMatter college summer program. Applicants in need of assistance should indicate so on their program application. Please contact summer@hampshire.edu with any questions.

Credits

This is an intensive course. Hampshire College recommends the equivalent of 4 academic credits for the completion of a full course. Students are strongly encouraged to check with their home institutions about the number of accepted transfer credits. Upon completion of the program, students may request a Hampshire College transcript.

Residency Requirement

Because of the intensive nature of the program, all participants are strongly recommended to reside on campus for the duration of the course. The program fees above (tuition + housing) include full residency and all program activities.

Health Insurance

Please note that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires all students to carry health insurance. Upon acceptance to the #BlackLivesMatter program, you will be asked to provide proof of insurance or required to purchase temporary coverage that could increase the overall program cost.
