June 5 - 30, 2017
The Institute for Transforming Social Justice is a 4-week intensive summer program designed for students, activists, artists, and practitioners who have a passion for creating social justice. Led by four Hampshire College faculty members, with talks by community activists, practitioners, and artists, the program will engage strategies for social justice, including community-based research and practices, policy analysis, and participatory action.
Each week students will approach the work from a particular site of oppression and resistance: mass incarceration and the carceral state; reproductive justice; gender and sexuality; and arts and activism.
Come learn with faculty at the cutting edge of their fields and research, and join us as we transform the world!
