Dillon Markey 98F is a Hampshire alum and has returned to build a stop-motion program on campus, which was completed in 2017. After completing a master's degree at the California Institute of the Arts, Dillon spent the last 10 years animating in Los Angeles on television shows such as Robot Chicken, Spongebob Squarepants, Buddy Thunderstruck' and more. He has also worked extensively with the animation artist PES, including on the 2013 Academic Award nominated "Fresh Guacamole." Dillon became 'internet famous' in his own right with the release of the documentary "Playing with Power," which describes his modification of a Nintendo Powerglove to be a bluetooth controlled for shooting stop motion animation.
