  • Printing/Copying/Scanning: Pay-for-printing and copying, free scanning to email or USB device. Two photo-quality scanners also available.
  • Library third floor lab
  • Software: Microsoft Office 2010 and 2011;Open Office 3; Kurzweil 3000; Audacity; iLife; Burn; Firefox; Chrome; VLC; Numerous languages and keyboard layouts; One computer with iWork; One computer with Adobe Creative Suite; One computer with Adobe Acrobat Full Version and Photoshop

Advanced Media Lab B-2, Library Basement

  • Scanners: 4 capable of scanning slides and negatives
  • Other Equipment: Animation stand and oversized document digitizer; Audio Digitizing Station
  • Software: Final Cut Pro; Color; Motion; DVDStudioPro; SoundTrack; LiveType; Compressor; Photoshop; Illustrator; InDesign; ProTools (one); Dragon Stop Motion (one); AfterEffects; Audacity
  • Access: Everyone

InterMedia Lab B-5, Library Basement

  • Computers: Four 24” iMacs
  • Scanners: Three scanners
  • Other equipment: VoiceOver Booth. Can record phone calls, too.
  • Software: ProTools; FinalCut Pro; Color; Motion; DVDStudioPro; Compressor; Photoshop; Illustrator; InDesign; AfterEffects; Shake; GarageBand; Audacity
  • Access: Preference to students doing more advanced media work.

GreenScreen Studio B-3, Library Basement

  • Computer: One Mac Pro Tower
  • Software: Dragon Stop Motion; Final Cut Pro
  • Access: Used for green-screen shooting, video/photo shooting, classes, video-conferencing

ControlSpace Collaborative Work Area B-3A, Library Basement

  • Computers: One Mac Pro Tower, Two Mac G4s (internet access)
  • Software: Changes as required for tutorials
  • Access: Everyone

AudioTorium B-6, Library Basement

  • Computer: One Mac Pro Tower
  • Software: Max/MSP; Jitter; Live; Reason; ProTools; Logic
  • Access: SoundDesign and music students

Division III Lab B-7, Library Basement

  • Access: Division III students (24 hour)

Electron Music Studio B-8, Library Basement

  • Computers: One G-5 Tower, One 24” iMac
  • Software: Pro-tools; Logic Studio; Reason; Live; Max; Garage Band
  • Access: Serious sound design and music students

Adele Simmons Hall 126

  • Computers: 17 Mac Pros, Three 24” iMacs. Computers have either 24” HD monitors OR 7” 1280x1024 LCD’s.
  • Software: Maya 8.5 and 2009, Complete Adobe CS3/CS4 Suite, RenderMan, Shake, Praat, Blender, Rhino, Processing
  • Access: General public, CS Students have priority. Open lab hours 4-11 every weekday, 12-11 on weekends.

Adele Simmons Hall 125 (The “ndrome”)

  • Computers: One 24” iMac, five Mac Pros, and a quad-core custom-built PC running Ubuntu. All have 8GB of RAM except the iMac. One of the Mac Pros has a 30” Cinema display, one has a 22” Cintiq; the rest have HD LCD’s.
  • Software: Designed primarily for animation purposes, may include: Maya 8.5 and 2009, Complete Adobe CS3/CS4 Suite, RenderMan, Shake, Praat, Blender, Rhino
  • Access: During building hours, this room is open for use by the general public, with priority given to animation interns.

Adele Simmons Hall ERP Lab

  • Computers: Four 24” iMacs, five or six Dell desktops
  • Software: Windows XP, Eprime, SuperLab, Office, other ERP-specific software
  • Access: Cognitive Science ERP Students

Architecture Lab, Emily Dickinson Hall 3

  • Computers: Two high-end iMacs, four older Macs.
  • Software: Full Adobe Suite, AutoCad, Rhinoceros.
  • Printing: One large format six-color printer (24"xRoll) available to students with paper costs listed in the classroom with the monitor.
  • Access: The studio with monitors is open to all Architecture students and is available outside of class times (noted below) between 8:30 a.m. and midnight M-F and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on weekends.
