The Wellness Center's mission is to promote holistic health and wellness in the Hampshire community.
Who We Are:
The Wellness Center consists of the director; several student staff; student groups such as the counselor advocates; and student volunteer organizations, such as the Backrub Club. The director and students work together collaboratively to create and implement our programs. The Wellness Center is part of the department of Community Advocacy in the division of Student Life.
What We Do:
The Wellness Center offers resources, support, and programs that address a broad range of health and wellness issues, including drug, alcohol, and tobacco use; sexual health; sexual agency, and sexual violence; communication skills; healthy relationships and relationship violence; relaxation; alternative health modalities; self-care and stress; and body image and eating issues. We are always willing to support student initiatives that promote health and wellness, and invite community members to share ideas and concerns with us.
Come Visit:
The Wellness Center has a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, so drop by and have some tea, browse our library and multitudinous brochures, or get a free 15-minute backrub from one of our trained student volunteers! Bring your books and study in a quiet room, try out the light box, or take a bath in a clean tub. We are located in Enfield by the basketball court, above the Center For Feminisms. You may also contact the Wellness Center at x5743 (press 1), or by emailing well@hampshire.edu.
