AsianAvenue is a site designed to establish and reinforce a sense of community with a variety of information on topics including, living, entertainment, national, and international news. They provide services to meet people in your community; express yourself; and find information that reflects our cultures and our perspectives. There is an extensive career center that contains featured articles and forums, including where the hot jobs are and who are satisfied with their jobs. Registration is free to access most career services, but registration status can be changed as many times as you would like. Many students find that joining a site like this immediately establishes a link to a community and access to advice and networking.
Asian American Journalist Association contains listings for fellowships, scholarships, and job resources.
Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund protects and promotes the civil rights of Asian Americans by combining litigation, advocacy, education, and organizing.
Career India is a "community-based" site with emphasis on personal and social interests. There are international job listings, news, sports, social, and entertainment pages. No helpful career articles, though you can register your resume and conduct a job search.
Gold Sea Career Success provides job listings in addition to articles such as "How to Talk to Your Boss," "8 Great Professions Overlooked by Asian Americans," "Explore Some Exciting Opportunities Before Giving in to Family Pressure," "50 Great Employers for 2003," "Hot New Fields for Asian Americans," and "Tap Your Asian Heritage for a Career Boost." The Asian American Career Success Center includes a hotlist of employers offering the best opportunities for Asian Americans as well as tips and strategies for applying for jobs.
HireDiversity.com has resources for special populations including African Americans; Asian Americans; disabled; gay and lesbian; Hispanics; Native Americans; and women. Their mission is to "facilitate excellence in diversity recruitment by bringing together human resources professionals with quality, prescreened, multicultural and/or bilingual professional candidates from diverse backgrounds." HireDiversity.com also provides services and networking opportunities while linking multicultural and bilingual professionals with a variety of industry sectors nationally and internationally.
IMDiversity.com is dedicated to providing career and self-development information to all minorities, specifically African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and women. It provides access to a large database of equal opportunity employers committed to workplace diversity.
Korean American League for Civic Action Provides leadership training and civic education through a college internship program, educational program, leadership development program, and voter education and mobilization project.
The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) is a non-profit organization where Asian American professionals across the country work together to enhance Asian American leadership in careers and the communities where they live. There is a focus on professional development: panels, workshops, and seminars. As a nonprofit organization it promotes the active participation of Asian Americans in society through community service.
