Global Education Office (GEO)

Your navigational tool to the world

The Global Education Office (GEO) presents a variety of opportunities and resources to incorporate global perspectives into your Hampshire education. 

More than 150 students choose to study abroad in more than 30 countries each year. They pick from a variety of year, semester, and short-term programs across 6 continents, or they design their own field study experiences to best fit their academic goals.

GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES

Exchange: Semester or year-long programs that have either been designed by Hampshire faculty or were created through an affiliation with an academic institution.

Field Study: All other semester or year-long programs fall into the Field Study category, including enrollment in an overseas university, going through a study abroad program provider, or a self-designed semester of field research or internship.

Short –Term Field Courses: Programs during January term, May, or summer that are led by Hampshire faculty and vary each year.

Other options: Internships, language learning, study programs, or other learning activities abroad during January Term, spring break, or during the summer.
