Frequently Asked Questions

If you are hoping to enroll at Hampshire this fall, we understand that being on the waitlist is a hard place to be. It also means that you likely have questions. If the answer to your question is not provided below, please feel free to contact us at admissions@hampshire.edu.

What can I do to increase my chances of being admitted?
It is imperative that you accept our offer to remain on the waitlist. Make sure you indicated your interest by completing this form. You can also send in updated or new information: an updated transcript, a new letter of recommendation, or a letter from you indicating your interest.

When will I learn whether or not I have been admitted?
The admissions committee is making offers of admission throughout the spring.

Where do I stand on the waitlist? What number am I?
The waitlist is not numbered nor ordered in any way. If the admissions committee elects to make offers from the waitlist, it does so in the same manner as it selects from the regular applicant pool.

Should I submit my tuition deposit at another college?
If your second choice college has an approaching deposit deadline, then you should accept the offer from another college by their deadline. You should wait until close to the deadline to ensure Hampshire is not planning to offer you a space.

How can I engage with Hampshire while I await my admissions decision?
We welcome you to head over to our visit page! There are numerous ways for you to engage with Hampshire from the safety of your home. We look forward to hearing from you.
