Erica Hample Div II Project

"A video of my first tall climb! I got to use my GoPro for the first time!" Erica Hample, June 27

"It was super odd to be working on a computer while sitting 90 feet up in the top of a tree. I downloaded data from all of the sensors, wind, humidity, air temperature, leaf moisture, and soil moisture, and saw that the soil moisture sensor was indeed not working, so I set to work replacing it. This involved a lot of cutting and re-securing of zip ties. After ensuring that the new sensor worked, I saw that Sybil was still working so I took a moment to relax in the tree crown. Some sun had been playing hide and seek with the clouds the whole while I was in the tree, but soon a dark gray covered the sky and the wind started to pick up." Erica Hample, July 2
