Statement In Response To Incident at Hampshire Basketball Game

All students are expected to treat others with civility and respect and to abide by the Code of Conduct and Norms for Community Living detailed in the Student Handbook

Hampshire College has an obligation under Federal law to protect the privacy of our students that bars us from commenting on individual cases, so we will not comment here.

At Hampshire, all students are expected to treat others with civility and respect and to abide by the Code of Conduct and Norms for Community Living detailed in the Student Handbook. Hampshire College explicitly prohibits assault and harassment and other physically endangering or threatening behaviors. We address allegations of misconduct by investigating the facts, implementing student handbook disciplinary processes, and taking appropriate action.
