Students are not required to purchase a meal plan for the 2019-2020 Academic year, but Hampshire offers a variety of competitively priced block meal plans which include guest meal tokens that may be shared with others.
Block meal plans may be purchased during the academic year, but do not roll over to the next semester. Choose only what you need for the current semester. Block meal plans purchased after November 15 will be assigned to the Spring semester.
Block meal plans can be added to students’ OneCard on the Hub.
To purchase a block meal plan, log in to the TheHub and select “Meal Plans” under the “Financial Info” section. The plan will be entered on your OneCard for use at any Hampshire dining location: Bridge Café, Kern Kafé, and Dining Commons. Block meal plans come with guest meal tokens that may be used by the purchaser or shared with others. Guest meal tokens may be used either semester during the academic year in which they are received.
As always, meals from a student's block meal plan may be used at the Dining Commons. In addition, meals may now also be used at the Bridge Café and Kern Kafé as “meal swaps.” Regardless of dining location, students may use only one meal swap per meal period. The meal periods are as follows:
The value of the meal swap is $7 for breakfast and $10 for lunch or dinner. If desired, a student may choose a meal in excess of these values and pay the difference with Café Card funds, cash, credit or debit.
Required for all resident, mod, and commuter students.
Students are billed a $400 Café Card fee each semester, which will be entered on their OneCard for use at the Dining Commons, Bridge Café, Kern Kafé, Mixed Nuts, and Hampstore. Café Card funds carry over from fall to spring. Unused Café Card funds are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
You may add funds to your Café Card at any time here by choosing “Café Card Upgrade” from the drop-down menu under the “Make a One-Time Payment” section.
