The Young Feminist Collaborative pre-college program is a collaboration between the Civil Liberties and Public Policy Program (CLPP) based at Hampshire College and the Soapbox Feminist Camp. It mixes historical and political contexts of activism with exposure to real world careers in social justice and the non-profit sector. The Young Feminist Collaborative is an immersion in feminist thinking and action designed for those who have an interest in movement building, gender justice, and creating community.
The goal of the program is to have students think about how to bring a gender lens to social issues. We will be solution-oriented, and think deeply and practically about what it means to make a difference. Participants will leave with a solid foundation in contemporary feminism, a vast list of resources and connections, and a foundation in idea articulation and persuasive and critical thinking.
Due to generous donations from Civil Liberties and Public Policy (CLPP) and Soapbox Feminist Camp, we are able to provide some financial assistance to some Young Feminist Collaborative participants to enroll in this precollege program. Students should indicate their interest in financial assistance by indicating so on their program applications. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.

This program has definitely made me more articulate and comfortable talking about my feminism, and has really given me this arsenal of knowledge about non-mainstream feminist movements.
