Summer Academic Programs

To know is not enough. No approach to education is better geared to meet the challenges ahead than the Hampshire model: experience-based, learner-centered, inquiry-driven. Hampshire is extreme sports for the mind.

Each June and July, Hampshire College has offered a variety of summer academic programs designed to reflect our academic philosophy by linking critical engagement to experience-based education. Our programs supported diverse learning communities: undergraduates, pre-college students, graduate students, professionals, practitioners, and life-long learners. Immersive, rigorous, challenging, and fun, these programs delve deeply into their given topic or subject matter.
