March 9: Malika Redmond to Speak on Black Women Led Voter Engagement Efforts in Georgia

As part of Hampshire College’s In/Justice Learning Collaborative, voter activist Malika Redmond will speak Tuesday, March 9 on “Reflecting on 2020: How Black Women Led Voter Engagement Efforts to a Progressive Victory in Georgia.”

Redmond is a founding director of the Georgia-based Women Engaged, an organization that creates opportunities for Black women and young adults to become involved in voter engagement and advocacy. Redmond is also the board chair of ProGeorgia, a non-profit coalition of more than 30 voter engagement groups throughout the state working to ensure access to the vote for historically marginalized communities. Redmond holds a B.A. from Spelman College and an M.A. from Georgia State University.
