Professor Monique Roelofs Awarded a 2015 Curriculum Diversification Grant
Monique Roelofs, Associate Professor of Philosophy, is a recipient of a 2015 Curriculum Diversification Grant for her project Theories of the Aesthetic: Rethinking Curricula in Philosophies of the Arts and Culture.
The $5,000 grant was awarded by the American Society of Aesthetics. Professor Roelofs is the author of The Cultural Promise of the Aesthetic (Bloomsbury 2014), which recently appeared in paperback.
At Hampshire College, Roelofs teaches courses in feminist philosophy, critical philosophy of race, aesthetics, and the theories of art and culture.
