Why I love working at Hampshire: Hampshire is unlike any institution that I have worked with in my higher ed experience. They allow me to find the sweet spot between the administrative responsibilities of admissions work and the educator that embodies my essence and drive.

Piece of advice in the college admissions process: Keep it real, son.

Favorite books: Zadie Smith's On Beauty, Zora Neal Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God, Ernest Hemingway's Old Man and the Sea, Richard Wright's Black Boy, Toni Morrison's Jazz, James Baldwin's If Beale Street Could Talk, anything by Claude McKay, and short stories of Langston Hughes.

Shows I'm binge-watching: Treme and The Killing.

Favorite spot in the Pioneer Valley: The canals down in Holyoke.

My favorite way to procrastinate: Start digging through my records.

Nothing will ever take the place of an experience.
