Noelle Cocoros

Noelle is an epidemiologist by training and is a principal research scientist at the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. Her work includes leading large multi-site studies for state and federal agencies, serving on an executive committee that guides the operations of a national public health system for the U.S. FDA, and directing an office of more than a dozen epidemiologists. She serves as a mentor to scientific staff and supports strategic planning and operational management. Noelle is also a professor of clinical surveillance epidemiology in the Department of Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University in Denmark. She was previously the director of research and evaluation at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Infectious Disease.

Noelle is motivated by work that is practical, meaningful, and collaborative. She leads in service of others, with curiosity and an open mind.

Noelle received her doctor of science and master of public health degrees in epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Health. At Hampshire, her Div III was focused on molecular immunology. Noelle is originally from Brooklyn and has lived in Boston since 2000.
