Steve Duffy

Steve has served as Hampshire’s senior director of Facilities and Grounds since 2022 and has been a member of the campus community for over a decade. He is deeply committed to Hampshire College’s success and is honored to represent Hampshire staff as the College navigates a critical period in the years ahead.

A lifelong Pioneer Valley resident and a proud graduate of Holyoke Community College and UMass Amherst, Steve brings more than 20 years of experience in facilities management, with leadership roles in both union and non-union environments, and director-level positions across municipalities and private educational institutions.

At Hampshire, Steve is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and operation of campus facilities and grounds; environmental health and safety; sustainability and energy management; and logistical support for campus moves, events, and daily operations. He takes pride in developing workflows that are reliable, efficient, and adaptable — so that the College can respond thoughtfully to the evolving needs of the campus community.
