Pamela's research focuses on the intersection of science and culture, particularly exploring life and death to understand how biology is negotiated by culture at birth, and how life histories are explored through biology in death. The main focus of her research is on women's health in the past and present, across the globe.
Jane Couperus, dean of the School of Cognitive Science and associate professor of developmental cognitive neuroscience
Jane's primary research interests are in the development of attention, learning, memory, and their neurological substrates. Her research uses both behavioral and physiological techniques (primarily event related potentials) to gain a better understanding of the brain over the course of development.
Cynthia Gill, associate professor of physiology, School of Natural Science
Cynthia studies neural regulation and connectivity in response to hormonally-mediated environmental cues. Her interests span the areas of human and comparative physiology, neuroscience, endocrinology, herpetology, conservation biology, and behavioral biology.

Lise's research and teaching interests include 19th- and 20th-century British literature and culture, feminist theory, women's social history, film studies and early film history, and mass culture.
