Due to inclement weather the College will be closing today, Monday, February 8, 2016 at 3:30 p.m.
Students often need to have their diplomas and transcripts authenticated to send to a foreign country. Information on the requirements for countries requiring an apostille as outlined by the office of the Massachusetts Secretary of State can be obtained at www.sec.state.ma.us/pre.
There is a $25.00 processing fee for each copy of a document requiring an apostille certification requested from Hampshire College. Checks should be made payable to The Trustees of Hampshire College.
Information on ordering a transcript is available on this website. Original diplomas must be sent or brought to central records for copying and certifying. Additional time is needed if a duplicate diploma is requested. That information can be obtained on the office of the dean of faculty website.
Keep in mind this is a lengthy process. Requests to notarize transcripts and/or diplomas take up to five business days. The apostille process can take up to three weeks once the documents are forwarded to Boston and returned to central records. We use the U.S. Postal Service. If you would like to pay an additional fee, you can give us a credit card number for UPS.
Central records is not responsible if a document is lost in the mail.
