Nancy Hanson

Director of Farm Programs

A fourth-generation farmer, Nancy Hanson grew up milking cows and driving beat-up trucks on her family’s dairy farm in central Connecticut. She holds a bachelor of science degree in horticulture from the University of Connecticut. Nancy was the community-supported agriculture manager at Hampshire College from 1999-2017 and is currently the Director of Farm Programs. She is not on Facebook and absolutely refuses to take a selfie, but she does know her way around a 70-year-old tractor and grows some wicked good vegetables. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys a good beer and experimenting with recipes that showcase her homegrown supply of fresh ginger.

Sebastian has been eating farm carrots and barking at farm visitors since 2012. His origins and educational experience are unknown.
