Hampshire has Four Connections to 2014 Academy Awards

Hampshire College alumni Jonathan Kitzen and Lupita Nyong'oThree alums and one faculty member from Hampshire College have received recognition recently from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences:

Lupita Nyong'o 03F won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 12 Years a Slave. More »

Jonathan Kitzen 86F co-produced The Lady in Number 6, which won an Academy Award for Best Short Documentary. More »

Ben Fiske 02F is on the Disney team of animators that created Frozen, which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. More »

Chris Perry, associate professor of media arts and science, was honored at the Academy's Scientific and Technical Awards Presentation for his work on Voodoo, a software application that became instrumental in making Oscar favorites such as Life of Pi. More »
