Exhibition of Five College Student Artwork To Open at Hampshire College Art Gallery

The exhibition will present work by the 13 students of the 2018 Five College Advanced Studio Seminar, a consortium course made up of top art students from each Five College campus. For this year’s course—titled “Committed to the Idea: Conceptual Cohesion Across Mediums”—students worked with New York City-based multi-disciplinary artist Miatta Kawinzi.

“Their work considers the concept of space as physical, social, emotional and temporal,” says Kawinzi, “posing questions that suggest divergent narratives and open up ‘s p a c e’ for new interpretation and exploration.”
