President Ed Wingenbach Interviewed in Boston Business Journal on Hampshire’s Untraditional Path Back to Success
"Hampshire should be doing things that nobody else is doing—what everybody ought to be doing 10 years from now."
Hampshire College President Ed Wingenbach recently spoke with Boston Business Journal on how the College successfully pivoted from its crisis in 2019.
Under Wingenbach leadership, the College has since launched a robust fundraising effort, reinvigorated its admissions recruitment, and worked with its faculty to reimagine Hampshire’s already transformative educational model into one that further pushes traditional boundaries.
From the article:
"We've done this extensive work to try to reimagine the next phase of what Hampshire College would be, essentially to try to figure out what the future of undergraduate liberal arts should be and pilot it and inspire other people to follow along and change. Our mission is to transform higher education."
