Five College Student Artists Reunite to Create Their Own Show

Hampshire College student artists Tara Morrison, Gavriela Shoshana, and Anna Stewart Zellweger will have new works exhibited in FIVE TWO, a March 9–23 show in Mount Holyoke College’s Blanchard Student Gallery.

This is a student-initiated show, with all Five College campuses represented. Student artists from the five campuses met last fall in the Five College Advanced Studio Seminar. Working together, and with New York City painter and educator Jaya Howey, they developed a show, FIVE, that went on display in November. They remained close afterward, continuing to learn from and support one another as emerging artists, and have reunited for FIVE TWO.

The show will feature drawings and paintings as well as sculptures and installations.

There will be an opportunity to meet the students and discuss their work at a reception on Thursday, March 13, at 5:30 p.m. in the Blanchard Student Gallery. The show is free and open to the public.
