Hampshire Alum Joe Minton 86F Helps Video Game Creators Navigate the Industry

Minton knows what it takes to bring a great video game to market — and how to help the people behind the game thrive. After leading Cyberlore Studios in Northampton for more than a decade, Minton founded Digital Development Management (DDM), an agency that supports game developers with the business side of their work: publishing deals, industry guidance, and strategic partnerships.

Headquartered in downtown Northampton, DDM has grown into an international company representing more than 70 clients and brokering more than 750 deals totaling over $1 billion. Minton and his team have helped shape projects across platforms, including recent collaborations to bring Hello Kitty-themed games to Roblox and Apple Arcade.

From student to studio founder, Minton credits Hampshire and the Pioneer Valley with shaping the way he works. “I kept trying to leave the area,” he told the Daily Hampshire Gazette, “but I’m one of the Hampshire freaks who loved Hampshire and fell in love with the area, so decided to make things work here.”
