Hampshire Launches New Virtual Campus Tour

Hampshire has launched a new YouVisit virtual campus tour. The tour employs 360-degree interactive views of both indoor and outdoor spaces as well as welcoming, in-depth voiceovers, and lets anyone from anywhere in the world get an up-close look at our beautiful campus at their own pace and convenience.

Several Hampshire students participated in the filming of video components, giving the tour an authentic and personal look at what it means to be a part of the campus community. This is especially useful for prospective students and their families when it comes to imagining life as a Hampshire student. The tour provides an excellent option when an on-campus visit isn’t possible or practical, and it allows those who have been to Hampshire to take a second look if they are still making their decision about college. 

“Our new virtual tour opens the door to Hampshire College for everyone, no matter where they are in the world,” says Interim Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Kristin Hmieleski. “We’re thrilled to have this powerful tool to engage future students, attract employees, and strengthen connections with our community and alumni.” 

The tour is comprehensive, covering 28 locations ranging from the R.W. Kern Center, where students give a warm welcome to virtual guests, to an inside look at various academic buildings to outdoor shots featuring the 800 acres of woods and the unique Hampshire College Farm. From the Center for Design to the Arts Barn, the Yurt, the Lebrón-Wiggins-Pran Cultural Center, the residential housing options, and everything in between, visitors to the site have the opportunity to learn about so much of what Hampshire has to offer. 

This new virtual tour technology makes it easier than ever for prospective students and families to explore the Hampshire campus. The tool supplements the College’s existing in-person campus tours, which can be scheduled online, and our virtual interviews and info sessions.
