Jonathan A. Wright has been an active northeast regional leader in sustainable design and construction since graduating from Hampshire College in 1974. Wright Builders, Inc., from which he recently retired, has completed two Living Building Challenge projects, achieving the highest standard of renewable and resilient design and construction, along with over 40 LEED certifications.

His book, Living Building Makers was released in September 2019 by Ecotone Press and celebrates the positive effect of safe resilient practices on the entire construction workforce and industry. In 2018 his poetry and photography collection Season of Dreams joined the 2014 poetry collection After the Rain published by Gallery of Readers Press. Wright is a U.S. Rowing certified sculling coach, consults and presents on sustainability, makes furniture, and, far too often, unforgivable puns.
