Mission Statement
The Hampshire College Facilities and Grounds mission is to optimize the physical built environment for teaching, learning, research, and community engagement through preventative maintenance and planned strategic improvements.
Our products and services include, but are not limited to, utilities, infrastructure, land management, energy portfolio, project management, in-house construction services, building operations and maintenance, keys and keyless entry, landscaping, custodial, event set up, and moving services.
We are committed to providing a conducive and sustainable environment that supports the diverse needs of our Campus.
Hours & Information
Our main office is staffed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Please email Facilities@hampshire.edu or call us at extension 5431.
Facilities and Grounds staff work Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Limited weekend support is available from Campus Services without 24/48 hour notice.
Facilities provide twenty-four-seven on-call services when an emergency affects the safety of the resident or property. Please call Campus Safety and Wellbeing at 413.559.5424 if you are experiencing a maintenance emergency (active leak, no heat in extreme cold temperatures, power outage, etc.).
Facilities and Grounds services are limited on weekends, holidays, and during summer operations. Please submit a work order for expected services in advance. Services are not guaranteed.
Please do not make any alterations to Campus without contacting Facilities and Grounds Management for prior approval.

Maintenance Requests and Work orders
Asset Essentials is Hampshire College's maintenance management system. This service allows you to submit repair requests to our Facilities and Grounds Department for any space owned by Hampshire College.
