Robert Horowitz, M.D.

Dr. Horowitz is a consulting family medicine physician who worked at University Health Services, University of Massachusetts/Amherst from 1990-2014.  He has particular interests in behavioral medicine, including drug, tobacco, and substance use issues; mind-body medicine; and men's health. He is a graduate of Kenyon College and New York Medical College and did his residency at the University of Virginia. He lived and worked for 10 years with Native Americans in Arizona, on the Navajo reservation and with Pueblo tribes in the Santa Fe, NM area. He is American Board of Family Medicine certified and a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
