Caol Ila Dragon

Caol Ila is a border collie best known for his impeccable ability to search for and eat voles, mice and all sorts of small rodents that might plague a vegetable field. He first began his farm career here at Hampshire College Farm in 2019 and has since assisted at both UMass Student Farm and Riverland Farm here in the Connecticut River Valley. 

Caol Ila’s favorite pastime is gently overseeing the farm crew’s daily work and playing fetch with almost anything he can find—including rocks—though we don't generally condone that! He is a sweet, gentle, middle-aged man that loves to play in the snow and swim in rivers. Come say hi!
