Facilities and Hours

Students have access to an array of facilities and equipment through OPRA. Whether borrowing a tent and camping supplies, a mountain bike, or using the indoor tennis courts and fitness room, it’s all free for students, faculty, and staff with your Hampshire OneCard.

Hours listed below are valid while Hampshire College classes are in session and are subject to change.

Robert Crown Center (RCC)

The Robert Crown Center (RCC) houses a 25-yard lap pool with six lanes, a basketball court, an indoor climbing wall and bouldering cave, an equipment room, cardio machines, a sauna, and locker rooms. Group exercise classes take place here.

The second floor of the RCC provides an opportunity for students to play ping pong, pool, or foosball. Sofas and tables are available for those who want to study, read, or visit with friends while getting a bite to eat at the Bridge Café.

Pool

Starting on September 16th

  • Noon–1:00 p.m.  Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays
  • Lap Swim Only, enter through the pool's external doors.
  • 7:00-9:15pm  Saturday 
  • 7:00-8:45pm  Sunday 

Sauna

  • 12:30–9 p.m.  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
  • 12:30–10:30 p.m.  Thursday and Friday
  • 4–10:30 p.m.  Saturday
  • 4–9 p.m.  Sunday

Bike Shop

  • 3–6 p.m.  Fridays

Climbing Wall

  • 6–8 p.m.  Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
 

MultiSport Center - Home to the Bay Road Tennis Club

The MultiSport Center has four deco turf indoor tennis courts, an 1/8-mile track, and an updated fitness and weight room. There are also a court overlook lounge area and men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers. The facility is free for students, faculty, and staff with a Hampshire OneCard, and is open to fee-paying members of the community.

Weight and Fitness Center

The Weight and Fitness Center has been updated with an array of new circuit and strength equipment. OPRA offers an assortment of fitness classes (sign up on TheHub) and drop-in classes. All offerings are free to students, faculty, and staff with your Hampshire OneCard.

Tennis

  • Walk-on tennis court use is free for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Students may reserve a tennis court for free.
  • Faculty and staff may reserve the tennis court at the court rate. 

Building Hours (tennis and track)

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m.—8 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m.–8 p.m.

*Notice: The track is closed for Track Team Practice on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4–5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 3-4:30 p.m.
