• You can support current students in job placements. We’ll have Hampshire Network through December. We hope to still have groups of alumni in major cities organize career focused events in June. 
• You can donate to support scholarships for students completing their studies next fall. 
• You can join us for Commencement 2026 on May 16 and for a December 2026 Commencement and legacy celebration date TBD.

Future gifts to Hampshire College will be used in compliance with our regulatory duties and to maintain operations during wind-down. Restricted endowment funds remaining after the teach-out period will be distributed in alignment with their charitable purposes according to the guidelines set forth by the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General.

The details are as yet unknown, but we understand how important these materials are to the community. Our goal is to transfer what we can transfer, including the College Archives, to other institutions who can steward them and make them accessible.

Sorry, no. Division IIIs that have been submitted to the College Archives either in print or digitally are part of Hampshire’s scholarly record. However, those that were deposited electronically are still available online and searchable by title.

Sorry, no. The College Archives are closed as we prepare them for transfer to another institution. Our immediate focus is preserving and organizing the existing archival collections so they can be responsibly transferred and made accessible in the future. 

You may not keep library books or library property, even if Hampshire is closing. Please return items you have borrowed from our collection when they are due, or you may renew them if they are eligible. If you are a Hampshire student, faculty member, or staff member, please return them before you separate from the College. Recall notices will be sent to Five Colleges patrons and community patrons. 
 

Depending on the needs of the library, there may be a call for volunteers at a later date. This page will be updated with that information. We are unable to respond to individual offers to volunteer at this time.
