Cole Science Center (CSC)

The Cole Science Center (CSC) is open to students seven days a week except for holidays and College breaks. Students working in the lab after 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends must check in with the CSC monitors and be familiar with the Laboratory Safety Manual and the Safety Data Sheets.

Cole Science Center Hours

Cole Science Center is closed when the College is closed (including weather related closings), and will have reduced hours during breaks and when classes are not in session. These hours are subject to change.

End of Semester Hours (through December 14, 2025)

Monday–Friday: 8:30 a.m.–10 p.m.
Saturday: noon–6:00 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m.–9 p.m.

Students after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, and anytime on weekends: please enter through the main entrance of Cole Science and check in with the first floor lab monitor.

Winter Break Hours (December 15, 2025 - February 6, 2026)

Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Saturday: closed
Sunday: closed

Cole Science Center and Hampshire College are closed for December Break beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19. We reopen with reduced hours on Monday, January 5 at 8:30 a.m.
