International Students

International students receive an aid offer at the time they are admitted to Hampshire College. The aid is automatically renewed for three years (total of eight semesters). No renewal aid application is required. Students will be notified by email that their aid offers are ready to view by the end of June each year.

The aid offer is renewable for three years, provided the student is enrolled and is making satisfactory academic progress. The amount of grant aid cannot be increased in renewal years. Students who receive grant assistance are responsible for any remaining cost of tuition, as well as the cost of room, board, and other expenses.

International students who did not receive aid at the time of admission are not eligible to apply during their Hampshire career even if there is a change in circumstances. Current Hampshire policy prohibits the funding of international students after their initial enrollment.

International students, who receive Hampshire financial aid, and who change their citizenship status to either a permanent resident or U.S. citizen during their time at Hampshire, must complete the applicable CSS Profile and FAFSA application for their next year's aid application. Please view more information about the aid application process for permanent residents and U.S. citizens.

There are limited sources of outside scholarships available for international students.
